Simpson Library receives physical items frequently via mail and UPS.
Items coming from McNaughton should be placed on a cart in the technical services work area. The entire unopened box can be placed on the cart, however, if the box is opened, please check the contents of the box against the packing slip. Make sure that each item is there and circle the number next to the title on the packing slip. Write your initials on the packing slip to indicate you are the person who checked the items in. When you are finished, stamp the packing slip with a RECEIVED stamp after checking the date on the stamp. Place the items on the cart and the packing slip in Megan's box.
Items coming from GOBI/YBP should be placed on a cart in the technical services work area. The entire unopened box can be placed on the cart, however, if the box is opened, please check the contents of the box against the packing slip or invoice by circling the quantity next to each item. Write your initials to indicate that you are the person who checked the items in. Stamp the invoice with the RECEIVED stamp after checking the date on the stamp. Place the items on the cart with a copy of the invoice and the packing slip in the last book from the group of items that was in the box. Place the original invoice in Dee's box.
