Are you a chemistry student new to ACS? Do you only know MLA or APA? Often students are accustomed to a particular citation style used in other disciplines. This guide is meant to be a tool to help you cite correctly in ACS style. This document illustrates some differences in citations across ACS, APA, and MLA. The citations are color-coded to assist you in formatting your ACS citations.
