Zotero

Zotero is software that helps you create citations and bibliographies. It's free and easy to use.

Why Use ZoteroBib?

  • You can't (or don't want to) install any software
  • You don't need all the features of regular Zotero
  • You just need to create a one-off bibliography

How does ZoteroBib work?

If you're using a computer that doesn't have Zotero installed, you can generate a bibliography using ZoteroBib.

ZoteroBib is a free service from the makers of Zotero. To cite a source using ZoteroBib, first copy the source's URL (or ISBN or DOI or PMID or arXiv ID or title). Then, go to zbib.org and paste it into the box.

Note: ZoteroBib is only a citation tool, and does not provide the full suite of features that Zotero provides.

Where does ZoteroBib save my work?

ZoteroBib stores your work in the browser on the computer you're currently using. If you clear your browser cache, it deletes the bibliography.

You can use the Link to This Version feature to create a version you can send to someone else.
