Education

When you find a physical book in Primo, write down its call number, and then go to the shelves. Call numbers tell you where books are shelved. To use call numbers, break them into pieces and read them from the top down.

For example, here's how you'd find this book:A label on the spine of a book, displaying the call number PR 8875 .P46 1999

  1. Find the PR section by following the signs in alphabetical order.
  2. Within the PR section, look in numerical order for 8875.
  3. Within the PR 8875 section, look in alphabetical and numerical order for .P46
  4. 1999 is the year the book was published.
