Library Reading Lists in Canvas

Welcome

Library Reading Lists in Canvas is a management tool called Leganto, created by the company Ex Libris.  The library felt that renaming Leganto to Library Reading List would make it more understandable; When reviewing tutorials or videos within this LibGuide, you will see the name Leganto. However, we are calling it Library Reading Lists and Library Reading Lists is the name that will appear in Canvas.

Library Reading Lists allows faculty and library staff to work together to create reading lists containing library materials and outside resources.

Instructors can:

  • Create lists of relevant, up-to-date materials gathered from a range of sources including the Library collection, internet (amazon etc..) and multimedia resources (YouTube etc..)
  • Easily manage and update course resources based on your course needs
  • Look at statistical usage of materials by students

Students can:

  • Easily access lists for all of their courses in one place
  • Engage with the resources, comment on readings, make recommendations for your class and the library
  • Build a personal collection of resources to use at other times

This guide is designed to help you use the Library Reading Lists to create reading lists. Use the navigation on the top to find tutorials and information on different aspects of Library Reading Lists. If at any time you have questions, don't hesitate to contact the library.
