Printing, Copying and Scanning

Printing, copying, and scanning are available at Simpson Library


Printing / Copying

Black & White:
$0.10 / side ($0.20 per double-sided page)

Color:
$0.30 / side ($0.60 per double-sided page)

Coin towers (located beside printer / copiers) are used to pay for printouts and copies.

Towers accept nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 bills


Scanning

Scanning is free.

Simpson Library has flatbed book scanners that scan to email or Google Drive.
You can also scan to a USB flash drive.

Wireless Internet at Simpson Library

Wireless internet is available at Simpson Library. You can use any Wi-Fi-capable device, such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

Several wireless networks are available at Simpson Library. Guests on campus will need to use the network called UMW-Guest.

  • UMW-Guest requires users to create a username and password, or to use Google or Facebook credentials to connect.
  • Alumni and Guests can use the UMW-Guest network to access library databases and other online resources!
  • Assistance connecting to UMW-Guest and printed step-by-step instructions are available at the Reference Desk.

Alumni and guests may also use Simpson Library's Guest Computers to access the internet, library databases, and more! See below for more information!

Simpson Library Computers

Simpson Library has two types of computers: Guest Computers and Student Computers.

Who may use these computers?

Anyone may use the guest computers.

How do I use a Guest Computer?

Ask at either Simpson Library service desk (Reference or Circulation).

Library staff will log you in.

Who may use these computers?

Current UMW students, faculty, and staff

How do I use a Student Computer?

Students, faculty, and staff may log in with their UMW login (NetID) and password.
