History students often need to find reviews of history books. Below are two databases that include such reviews.

Each databases covers certain dates, listed in parentheses. If your book was published in 1957, for example, you will not find a review in America: History and Life, as its coverage begins in 1964.

To locate reviews in either of these databases: 1) Be sure you're on the Advanced Search screen. 2) Type the author and title of the book in the top two search boxes (no need to change default settings). 3) Scroll down to "Document Type" and select "Book Review" from the menu. 4) Click "Search."

We recommend that history students also use main library search box, in addition to these two databases, to find reviews of history books.
