Ordering from Slip Notifications

Go to: Notifications > Saved Notifications > Your Slips

1. Search through your notification results and mark your selections by clicking the left bar next to the bibliographic record.

2. When you have made your selections, click Add to Select Cart.

3. Once you have added your selections to the Select Cart, go to the Select Cart Link in the top right corner of the page. You can also add selections to the Select Cart directly from your personal folders.

4. Once you have opened your Select Cart, you may begin to mark the items to which you would like to apply a template.
Items are marked by clicking to the left of the record. A blue bar appears.  Notice the green light symbol.

You should select all items to apply to a single template.
Once you have made all of the selections that go with a single template.
5. Click the Enter Order Details button.

6. The Order Details window will appear.  Choose the template to apply to selections from the drop down list.

The chosen template will pre-populate all saved values.

If you are ordering a replacement or a new edition, please also indicate that information in the Note to Acq field.
Those notes stay with the item in GOBI and this is super helpful to Acquisitions.

Checking for Discount Eligibility

Since discounts in GOBI are handled at the subaccount level, that net cost is not reflected until the point of order details:

Once you enter a subaccount for the order details, the estimated net price of all items will be updated at the top of the cart.

The estimated net price of the individual item appears in the Bibliographic Record as well.

GOBI FAQ

Is the 20% slip discount universal?  There are some publishers that we only offer at list price and I believe that those do not receive the slip discount.

Does the discount apply only to the format it appeared on? If we get slipped for the cloth, but the paper is available, do we get 20% off the alternate edition?  Yes, the discount would also extend to the alternate print, but not the eBook.

Does that apply to eBooks? Discounts do not apply to eBooks; however, publishers do occasionally run their own discounts that would then be reflected in GOBI. For example, Penguin Random House eBooks currently have a 20% discount.

Is there a time limit for us to take advantage of the slip discount, or does it remain in place for us indefinitely? The slip discount that you see does not expire, so if a selector got a slip in October but wanted to order at the end of the FY in June, it would still apply.

What is our automatic cancellation policy? Unfulfilled items automatically cancel 180 days from the initial order.
